The third installment of the popular concert series about songs of the Italian migration to America, will take place on Sunday, March 10 in Casa Italiana Sociocultural Center at 1:00 p.m. The event is hosted by the Holy Rosary Church Parish Council.
The singers include Maria Marigliano, director of the Holy Rosary Church Choir, accordian player Sergio Fresco, singer Anna Siciliano and the Holy Rosary Choir.
The song La Canta by the orchestra Casadei, performed at the Sanremo festival in 1974, is the signature song for the migrant concert series. It will be performed by Maria Marigliano with Sergio Fresco on the accordion.
Other songs will include familiar favorites like Caruso, Torna a Surriento and That's Amore, along with lesser-known numbers, such as Monasterio Santa Chiara and 1947 Strada Fiorita. Tickets are $25. To buy tickets click here.
